Destruction

The film opens as a crime story and then quietly changes genre. What looked like the plot turns out to be a dream, and the dreamer is a cat, which puts the human events in the film at a strange distance.

This is magic realism in the post-Soviet line, closer to Muratova and Parajanov than to genre cinema, and it belongs to a body of work where the one who sees truly is never the human being.

The world premiere at Busan opened the Asian circuit for the film.
